Emergency exit sign
Emergency Exit Lighting

When an emergency occurs and your occupants need to evacuate quickly and safely, exit and emergency lighting is essential in ensuring your people follow the safest and most direct path of egress out of the building. Does your building have these installed? Are there enough appropriate to the hazards? Are they current and suitable for the path of egress? Are they all working? Are they being tested every six months as per the standards? These are all questions you need to answer to ensure your building meets compliance with Australian Standards, your building lease agreement, local council requirements, OS&H regulations and building and liabilities insurances. Protector Fire Services offers sales, installation and servicing to all types of emergency evacuation lighting to suit your needs.

Test & Tagging

Does your business have portable electrical appliances? Chances are it does. They can be anything from fridges to power tools to specialised operating plant and machinery. The Occupational Safety and Health Act 1984 requires electrical equipment at workplaces to be safe and not expose workers to hazards. The Occupational Safety and Health Regulations 1996 requires that persons responsible for staff in a workplace ensure that electrical equipment within that workplace is safe and appropriately inspected, tested and maintained by a qualified person on a regular basis. Contact Protector Fire Services today for a quote to have your portable electrical appliances inspected and tested to Australian Standards AS/NZS 3760:2010.

RCD Testing
RCD Testing

A residual current device (RCD) is an electrical safety switch device designed to switch off the supply of electricity immediately upon detection of electricity leaking to earth, which is the most common cause of electrocution. Workplace injuries and fatalities can be prevented by the use of properly installed and maintained residual current devices. RCDs can also provide protection against some electrical fires. Contact Protector Fire Services for a price to have your RCDs inspected and tested regularly to safeguard your people and property. All work is conducted to Australian Standards AS/NZS 3760:2010. We also install and replace RCDs if needed.

Infrared thermograph
Infrared Thermography

Infrared thermography is the process of using infrared scanning devices to inspect electrical, mechanical and industrial switchboards in order to identify existing “hot spots” which have the potential to result in inconvenient faults and breakdowns later. Early detection allows your business adequate time and resources to implement preventative maintenance to avoid costly repairs and significant downtime to your business operations. Contact Protector Fire Services today for a quote to have your switchboards assessed.
