Our Emergency Planning Committee training covers the duties and responsibilities of the Emergency Planning Committee (EPC) for facilities as specified in Australian Standard AS 3745 – 2010 Planning for Emergencies in Facilities and Australian Standard AS 4083 – 2010 Planning for Emergencies – Health Care Facilities. AS 3745 – 2010 requires the EPC to have a minimum of two (2) people, with at least one person being someone who has acquired the skills to carry out the task – usually through training, experience or a combination of both. This training covers the following topics:
- Legislative Requirements and Australian Standard AS 3745 – 2010;
- What is an Emergency Planning Committee, their roles and responsibilities;
- What is an Emergency Control Organisation (ECO), roles and responsibilities;
- Emergency Warning and Communication Systems;
- Emergency Plans and Procedures;
- Training, exercises and workplace familiarisation; and
- Managing an Emergency.
This course is theory based and can be delivered on site or at our training facility for up to fifteen (15) participants.
